The BOTS app experiences: Wouter
One of the most important factors for BOTS by RevenYOU to grow and pursue their goals is to have a strong community. A community of users, developers and colleagues. Today we give the floor to a user of the BOTS app: Wouter. One of the many users who talk about their BOTS app experiences.
"Where 20 years ago you could get 3-4% interest on your savings account, now it's almost negative." It's as quiet as Wouter continues: "So I started looking into other options. And that's how I ended up at BOTS." Today, Wouter talks about his BOTS app experiences.
Wouter's son was born two years ago. A good time to think about creating capital. Wouter doesn't like a savings account. After he has done some research himself, he opens an automatic investment account at Binq Bank. "When I started, I had the idea to start small and look at it for a year anyway before I would draw any conclusions. I've been on the road for two years now and my return is 10%. I'm more than satisfied with that, of course."
The 32-year-old Wouter has no other trading experience apart from his account with Binq. "That's mainly because I always had savings accounts from home and didn't come into contact with investing" he laughs. "During my studies I didn't really come into contact with it either. So as far as that's concerned, everything is new."
Wouter was born and raised in Amersfoort. He studied to become a goldsmith in Schoonhoven. "I did not like the work as a goldsmith as much as I had thought beforehand. I missed the social contact. At a jeweller's, you often work in the back of the shop." After a period of three years, during which Wouter has several jobs to find out what he wants, he starts a new study to become a watchmaker in Antwerp.
"And now I work at a medical company where I'm allowed to set up a repair center. Extremely challenging." Wouter talks enthusiastically about the link between medical equipment and watchmaking. "In the end, repairs are often about fine mechanics and electronics, so it's not that far apart".
Wouter & BOTS
Meanwhile, Wouter lives outside Amersfoort with his family. "I want to create a nice life for my family so that we can have a good life together. And collecting a second income is just part of that. Capital must be put to work without hassle, that was exactly what appealed to me at BOTS".
The first time Wouter came across BOTS was through an advertisement on social media. "You should know that I was pretty skeptical at first." Wouter's smiling. "At least I decided to take a closer look at it."
About four years ago, Wouter had opened a BitCoin wallet through a colleague. "That went through a bit of a shady website. So I factored in a risk that it could go wrong. And it did." It'll be quiet for a while. "So that might also explain my skepticism. I basically don't know anything about crypto, but I do see it as a nice spread of the portfolio next to the regular options of investments".
Wouter decides to download the BOTS app and is actually immediately enthusiastic. "Again, I just want to try it for a year before I draw any conclusions. It's really too early for that now. But of course there are some things that I really like". Again, Wouter stays quiet for a while. "And things that could really be improved."
What really appeals to Wouter is the fact that he keeps control of the risk he is willing to take. "I decide which bot and therefore the corresponding risk level I choose. And I choose how much money I invest. So I have enough strings in my hands." So what are the advantages and not the disadvantages? "That's right, I don't have the time to get into the trading itself. I really have other priorities. So then it's great that a bot is doing this for you." And there's more to tell about Wouter's BOTS app experiences.
When we ask about Wouter's favorite bot, he says he doesn't have a favorite bot. He does have a favorite bot creator. Boosting Alpha. "That has everything to do with their visibility. Because Boosting Alpha is so visible and approachable, it gives me, as a user of their bots, a lot of confidence in their abilities. They answer to everything. They also answer critical and highly technical questions. And that's what you want to see as a user."
Wouter is very pleased with the BOTS app. "It's very clever when you can offer something that is actually super complex almost simply. If, for example, the charts are correct and regular investments are possible, I would definitely recommend the app to my parents. Now I think it's a little too early for that". Wouter also mentions the ability to start quickly and the possibility to pay via Ideal as great advantages.
"But for me, the most important benefit is that it makes "saving" really fun. I don't feel that way at Binq. It's really a bit of a sport to spend your money this way. The BOTS app makes it fun to put money apart on a bot. You get the same euphoria from buying an electric bike for example, but in fact you put money to work for later. That's fantastic!"
Of course, Wouter also has some examples for us of things we could make better. For example, he finds the way the profit percentages in the app of the bots tab are not representative. "I don't really care when Pete or Jantje have boarded. I'd much rather see the total pure return since the bots started." Anyway, Wouter also wants the graphs of the running bots to be more reliable. "Often the information displayed isn't correct, and that creates a bit of suspicion. That's a shame, and it's not necessary."
Wouter is not only a user of the BOTS app but also a certificate holder. He is also a beta tester. A small club that tests new functionalities for us before they go to the live app. "I am critical by nature and so am I about the app. But of course from the positive side, because you want a better user experience for everyone. That's why I think it would be valuable if we could, for example, get more insight into a priority list of RevenYOU. Make use of the enthusiasm of your users, I would say".
The future of BOTS
Wouter also has a good tip for us when it comes to the future resilience of BOTS. "I believe the bot creators may be in the spotlight a lot more. Without these creators, there are no bots, so there is no app." Wouter proposes to make them more visible. "Not only via the podcast, but also via the website or, if technically possible, in a tab in the BOTS app itself where the bots are linked to the creator. Everyone wants more bot builders, including RevenYOU. It would be great if all that talent that is going around would make bots as well. I'd rather see such talents make money and maybe become famous through BOTS than YouTube or Instagram".
When we ask Wouter about the future of BOTS, he is moderately enthusiastic. "I can't and I don't want to say anything about that. My plan is to look at it for myself for a year. RevenYOU is still such a young company anyway. That could go in any direction." Again, it'll be quiet for a while. "But I have high hopes, otherwise I would never have invested in BOTS myself and I wouldn't have become a certificate holder. So overall , Wouter is positive about his BOTS app experiences.
