The BOTS app experiences: Shantie

One of the most important factors for BOTS by RevenYOU to grow and pursue their goals is to have a strong community. A community of users, developers and colleagues. Today we give the floor to a user of the BOTS app: Shantie. One of the many users who talk about their BOTS app experiences.

Shantie

Within the Discord community of BOTS we see one lady regularly asking sensible questions, so we took the plunge and asked her if we could interview her. So many ladies are not active on Discord, so we didn't want to miss this opportunity.

"Yeah, too bad there are so few active women here" laughs Shantie. "That'll soon change. Investing really isn't just for fuzzy men in made-to-measure suits anymore!" Shantie is forty years old and single mother of a ten-year-old daughter, lives in Amsterdam and has a full-time executive job in the communications industry. "The podcast with Niels was therefore a nice look in the kitchen for me. Nice to see how you approach this as a company."

Shantie had no experience with acting before she started with the BOTS app and she hopes that more women will take an interest in the app, but also in acting on its own. "I started this because I want to provide my daughter with a carefree life. For example, I want to pay for her driver's license later on, make sure she can study or contribute to buying a house. By engrossing myself in acting and by using the BOTS app, this might be easier to achieve". And so Shantie tells even more about her BOTS app experiences.

Shantie & BOTS

At the beginning of May 2020, Shantie first saw an advertisement of BOTS on television and she decides to download the app. "The graphic design is great. That appeals enormously. Even my daughter thinks it looks cool." And so Shantie starts investing for the first time. "Now that the savings interest rate is 0%, I want to build up capital in a different way. And hopefully I can do it this way."

Shantie has so much confidence in BOTS that she also decides to become a certificate holder herself. She laughs: "I have a set for myself and am about to buy another set in my daughter's name. This form of investment will only increase in the future. And so will the company behind it. I hope one day to sell my certificates again for a nice amount of money!"

So really just enthusiasm? "Well, no. There are some things I think they could do better. But overall, I'm a fan of BOTS." Shantie appears to have prepared our conversation well, because she has noted a number of things she would like to share with us about her BOTS app experiences.

She finds starting with the BOTS app super easy. "I had never acted before, but I was able to use it myself pretty quickly," says Shantie, "and it is precisely the users in that phase who have a huge involvement. Maybe you could involve these beginners more in the development of the app. The longer you use the app, the less involvement you get." She laughs again. "I don't look every hour anymore to see if I'm a millionaire. But the people who are still doing this can give you tons of feedback. Give them a call, hear what they think is going well and what could be better."

The BOTS app is made to let bots act for you, so you don't have to know about it yourself. "That's exactly what appealed to me," says Shantie, "but also what I got stuck on. If you want to understand it, it's going to be complex. Because not everything in the app itself is explanatory. That is also a point for improvement. The information on Discord helps, but the multitude of opinions is sometimes confusing. The bottom line is: the app is made to do the work for you, and since I look at it that way myself, it's easier for me to leave it alone".

And so Shantie has some things she would like to see differently. "They're teething troubles, I realize that too. Because apart from that, the principle of the app is top and I am satisfied with how it goes." When we ask Shantie about her favorite bot, she says: "I don't really have a favorite bot, if I'm honest. I find them all interesting, I'm mostly just a fan of the phenomenon BOTS." It stays quiet for a while. "Although at first I missed some diversity with the bots. In the end, you want everyone to feel represented. In order to persuade women, we also need female and other types of bots. So come on with those new graphic designs!"

The future of BOTS

What really makes a big difference for Shantie compared to other investment parties is the visibility of the young founders of BOTS by RevenYOU. "I know who is at the helm with you and through the podcasts, among others, I also get a good picture of their mindset. This is a great added value for me."

The world of investment turns out to be less inaccessible than Shantie initially thought. "Yes, it is. I hope it stays that way. That sympathetic one is very distinctive and really the strength of the company. It finally won me over and keeps me using the app."

Shantie has a good feeling about the future of BOTS. "I really like the consensus. We may not be there yet, but we're going for it together. As a company, as bot makers, as users. Really together." The support department also gets a big compliment from Shantie. "Not everything can be solved right away, and that sometimes causes frustration, but you see that someone is working on it and that you are kept informed. And that gives a lot of confidence towards the future. BOTS is really getting huge. In any case, I'm very satisfied with my BOTS app experiences".
