The BOTS app experiences: Martijn

One of the most important factors for BOTS by RevenYOU to grow and pursue their goals is to have a strong community. A community of users, developers and colleagues. Today we give the floor to a user of the BOTS app: Martijn. One of the many users who talk about their BOTS app experiences.

One of the first users who enthusiastically responded to our request to interview users was Martijn. "I'm working as a Robotic Software Developer for a large insurance company, so the fact that you deal with bots immediately caught my attention.

Martijn already has some experience with crypto, but mainly buy and hold. "I know that at the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 you could earn a very good penny if you sold your crypto in time. Unfortunately I waited too long". He finds trading in crypto very interesting, Martijn has gained some knowledge via YouTube, but trading himself never came of it.

Martijn & BOTS

At the beginning of 2020 Martijn was doing a bit of zapping on a Sunday morning when he saw Michiel and Colin sitting at the table at Harry Mens in Business Class. "Of course, that immediately caught my interest. Robots, automation and crypto in one. I wanted to know more about that. 1 + 1 + 1 = 3" And so Martijn downloaded the beta version of the BOTS app. Today he talks about his BOTS app experiences.

The first impression was immediately good for Martijn. He experiences the app as accessible and user-friendly. "Depositing money on a bot actually goes very smoothly. In no time you have a bot turning. Quick and easy."

Well, Martijn already has experience in crypto, some theoretical knowledge of trading and therefore perhaps an advantage over inexperienced users. Doesn't that make the app easier for him to understand? Martijn immediately smiles at that statement: "No, in principle I can easily explain the BOTS app to my neighbour so that he too, without experience, can start trading with the app".

It'll be quiet for a few seconds. "What might be better are the charts. There's a lot of ambiguity here. With less experienced users, but also with the more experienced user. So there is still room for improvement here. I know they're working on it, so I'm looking forward to the release in which improvements have been made".

At this moment Martijn has 16 bots running in the BOTS app. His favorite bots are those of Boosting Alpha. "I'm really into one of those bots. I map them based on the basecoin, the crypto in which the trade takes place, the strategy, the risk profile and of course the return. Not all the information can be found in the BOTS app. Through Discord I also find out a lot through bot builders who share information".

It is not remarkable that the favorites bots come from Martijn van Boosting Alpha. "I think their presence on Discord really adds value. Anyway, I learn a lot from the whole community, but the presence of the bot creator also gives confidence in the bot and how it works. And that has a positive effect on my BOTS app experiences."

And although Martijn sees that the support channel on BOTS' Discord is well staffed, he sometimes lacks presence in the other channels. "There are just a lot of questions, especially in this 'early stage' and answers to all questions are essential for investor confidence. As an example, Martijn indicates that there was a bot recently in a trade, but the bot had a much lower return than the crypto (1.2% compared to 15%). "A short explanation, in this case it was because of the liquidity model, or a comment that it is being investigated, makes all the difference for the users of the app".

When we ask Martijn about his most important points for improvement for the app and for BOTS itself, he indicates that he would indeed like to see the charts improved. "And it would also be really great if you could compare bots with each other in a certain way. I have now created my own Excel, but this functionality would really be an asset". Martijn would also like to see a roadmap. This roadmap should make clear when which functionalities are expected. "And then I won't be difficult in a day more or less." Martijn laughs.

Of course we also want to know what he likes about the BOTS app. Martijn doesn't have to think long about that. The BOTS app is just genius. It's simple and easy to use and that's really new for this market". He's also enthusiastic about the range of bots in the app. "Oh, and I think you guys are doing a good job as a company. I have a lot of confidence in RevenYou, in the cooperation with and the level of the bot builders, the ambitious growth plans appeal to me very much, so keep up the good work".

The future of BOTS

Martijn still finds these growth plans exciting. "After the last Business Class broadcast in which you were a guest, the new growth was so big that the app stalled for a while. In the end, that was solved, but what if the rollout to those other countries goes so fast that it affects the stability of the app in a negative way. That would be really bulky and should be avoided".

Apart from these growing pains and his constructive feedback, Martijn is undividedly enthusiastic about the BOTS app and the future of the app. "I am firmly convinced that the BOTS app can grow enormously. These growing pains are logical and explainable. I notice that people are working hard to solve the issues, and I really predict a very big and special future for BOTS".

It'll be quiet for a while. "And my returns must remain good," Martijn says with a wink. And then all the BOTS app experiences will be fine."
