BOTS Goals: Job
Every user of the BOTS app has his or her own reasons for starting with the app. From now on, we'll be sharing the BOTS goals of a user every week. Today it's Job's turn, who wants to learn more about trading through the BOTS app in order to make more money.
The 19-year old Job started his education Facility Management in Heerlen last September. The past year he had a gap year in which he was going to travel and work in Australia. "At the beginning of 2020 the forest fires threw my plans into disarray, but completely understandable of course. So I would just go a few months later." It remains silent for a moment. "But yeah, we all know what happened then, so nothing came of that trip in the end."
Suddenly Job had no plans for his gap year. "And I didn't want to do anything for a whole year. The restaurant where he already worked was also forced to close its doors. "Fortunately I can still deliver for them and I now also deliver for a flower shop."
So in the end, Job mostly worked during his gap year before starting his education. "Although my first choice was hotel school, I am very happy with Facility Management. You can go in quite a lot of directions with it."
Job and the BOTS app
During this same gap year, Job was introduced to the BOTS app. "A father of a friend of mine is a trader and she told me about the app and the easy way to get into the world of crypto trading. Something I was always interested in, but just couldn't make time for."
Job decides to download the BOTS app and immediately starts two bots. "What's really important to me is to understand what a bot does. Many people are shocked that a bot is immediately in the minus, but of course you pay start-up costs. Absolutely nothing to worry about."
To fully understand how trading works, Job checks the BOTS app at least 1 or 2 times a day. "Of course I look at my own bots, but also at the bots that are not in my portfolio. I study the graphs and try to learn from them. Because I just started studying, I actually have little to no time left. Then of course the BOTS app is ideal."
Another advantage, according to Job, is the low threshold. "Because it is so easy and digital (via an app on your smartphone) it is attractive to young people. This way they can still earn a little extra."
Job does think carefully about the investment he makes. "If a chart goes down now, I don't panic immediately. I have savings in it that I can miss. So the risk involved is not that big to me. It is precisely because I want to understand it better that I have made a very conscious choice in this respect."
The BOTS goals of Job
By taking a good look at what his (and other) bots are doing, Job hopes to learn something about trading in order to eventually start doing it himself. "And if I make money with it, that's a nice bonus. But I really see it as a learning experience."
Although Job still considers himself a beginner, he does learn a lot. "The BOTS app is super clear and I'm still learning from it daily."
The question of course is whether Job shouldn't just trade with the BOTS app instead of doing it himself later on? "Good question, I really see the time I'm putting into the app now as a learning curve and maybe then the conclusion will indeed be that I'm better off leaving the acting to bots rather than doing it myself."
